Red Cross BLS Certification
Online + Classroom Skills Training
Service Description
Armstrong To The Rescue is proud to offer the 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course designed to equip healthcare providers, first responders, and public safety professionals with the critical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to respond effectively to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This comprehensive training prepares participants to recognize and manage life-threatening situations in adults, children, and infants, ensuring confidence and competence in delivering high-quality care during emergencies. The course follows a blended learning format, which combines flexible online learning with essential instructor-led skills practice. Participants must complete the self-paced online modules in advance, which can be accessed conveniently from a mobile device, desktop, or tablet. These modules cover fundamental topics such as high-quality CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), airway management, and team dynamics during resuscitation. Following the online coursework, learners attend an in-person, instructor-led session where they apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios, practice critical skills, and demonstrate competency through hands-on evaluation. Upon successful completion of both components, participants will be awarded a two-year American Red Cross Basic Life Support digital certificate. This certificate provides anytime, anywhere access to credentials and training history, making it simple for professionals to share their certifications with employers and regulatory bodies. In alignment with its mission to support the highest standards of patient care, the American Red Cross is jointly accredited by leading continuing education organizations, including the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This ensures that the course not only builds lifesaving skills but also qualifies for continuing education credits for members of the healthcare team. Additionally, the American Red Cross is recognized as an accredited provider by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), making this program highly valuable for emergency medical professionals.
